The other day, we were pondering, over a couple of cups of espresso from one of our machines (4 to be exact, cups that is, whoa).
We pondered over this;"what would be the ultimate statement that we could put down as a foundation & credo for our business & deliver to our customers from neallalexanders, something that we have always stressed and base our business ethics on"?

What we have always had at neallalexanders is total faith in our ability and the expertise that goes into every single job the absolute quality that comes out every time. We guarantee to deliver this every single time.
So, the ultimate statement from neallalexanders is this:

If we do not deliver or perform with absolute quality of service & product we will offer you two options.

neall alexanders - another winner

I bought my house in Sheffield early this year and have carried out major re modelling, building and extending of the property.

Part of the re model was the kitchen extension which formed an ‘L’ shape with the existing kitchen.

My first port of call was one of Big Sheds kitchen outlets in Sheffield, who did do me a design for a kitchen / dining area, based on information they gleaned from me and my budget.

To all intents and purposes I was about to place an order with the “shed” when a friend recommended I go to kitchen specialists Neall Alexanders in Doncaster.

My first thought was that a specialist would charge a premium and be outside my budget and that Doncaster would be too far to be effective.

I was convinced to go and see them and to my relief I am truly glad I did.

Their forthright honest approach to the whole process of designing my kitchen was a breath of fresh air, so refreshing and stimulating. The final result is absolutely superb, not only is my kitchen exciting to look at it is a delight to dine in and it is an absolute pleasure to cook in, in fact I enjoy the room so much I’ve just about moved my office in there.

Congratulations to Scott on the superb design and encouraging me to re negotiate my perceptions and thanks to Neall for the seamless installation of the furniture, glass splashbacks & the granite.

I would encourage anyone seriously considering a kitchen to seek their advice and expertise, it is well worth it....and yes they surprised me, the price was slightly more than the shed, but the quality of furniture and appliances is well in excess of what I was being offered.

Just as a side note, I also appreciate all the advice given as regards the under floor heating and tiling.

Is there such a thing as a happy kitchen ?

Is there such a thing as a happy kitchen ?

Strange question; maybe not; if you consider how you feel when you work in an environment that you enjoy.

I remember back to the days when my Gran used to bake fresh home made teacakes, my first memory; the smell, the smell of the dough cooking in the oven, the intoxication of the flavours that just got you out of bed in the morning, the aromas from the mixture of yeast and flour.

I'd walk into the kitchen, head back, eyes closed and a deep inhalation through the nose, forty years on the smell and flavour; it is still as strong. I can vividly remember her, always a smile, a cloud of flour dust as she clapped her hands together, always a hug against her flour covered 'pinney' that transferred to my face and usually got rubbed in further, with a laugh.


All this was wrapped in a cloud of melody, of humming and very light singing.

I think that was a happy kitchen!

Everything was at hand in that kitchen, utensils, ingredients even the fire heated range made it very homely.

neall alexanders is it feng shui ?




People differ so very much in what is right or not so in terms of what they want in their kitchen. Each time a fresh face comes into our showroom it is a new look for a room be it a kitchen or a bedroom, and it is always a fresh approach from ourselves.

The kitchen is represented as a different room and with differing reasons for everyone, this is where our translation comes in, translating needs into a viable & workable design.

The kitchen for me is a very involved area, many kitchens are the focal area for the family together with the main area for socialising with freinds & guests, again this all comes back to the individual needs of the "individuals involved".

Whilst I am responsible for the installation of all our kitchens at Neall Alexanders I still have a strong penchant for the design layout of all our kitchens and projects, I am quite happy and comfortable to leave the design and specification to Scott, for a number of reasons, apart from his design skills the amount of product knowledge he retains is vast.

Quality & Neall Alexanders

To me quality is really simple : it either is or it isn't, it does or it doesn't, this of course can be implied to the person or thing and usually in business the person would be the service. At neall alexanders we function with both aspects; quality of service from neall alexanders quality of all products from neall alexanders

Well, low and behold, it's not that simple, there's an argument, a discussion, philosophy surrounding, yes would you believe QUALITY.

So I thought "does this change my view of or on Quality" ? Well no, I don't think so. The err comes from the fact that I have never defined quality as an attribute to something, I suppose I take quality for granted, it is an expectation, quality for me also comes from when I see it or use it, I also like to tell Quality by feeling and handling,(the NLP'rs will now all about that) this is vitally important to me because I oversee all the installations of neall alexanders

This would promptly bring me on to another aspect of Quality...........frustration, yes frustration. It's simple really, you have it, you've bought it, you are ready and it does not work, or not as it should, or not as good as you thought it should be, now that's frustration to me.

As an example, a restaurant, I love good food, look forward to going out with my wife, maybe a midweek pub meal or a bit more special at the weekend, but, yes you know what I am about to say, you wait & wait and the meal arrives and it defies its mouthwatering menu description, the waitress is not in a good mood, the food is warm, its undercooked, its just not good.
Now you and your partner put in the time and effort to get ready, drive to the restaurant, were full of anticipation and then so disappointed, you complain, vent your frustrations and disappointments, its spoilt the night out.

So back to me and quality, what I am driving at, trying to say we at neall alexanders only care to be associated with quality, we are particular about what we promote and represent for the very good reason we do not like unsatisfied customers, fact; we do not have them.

example : actual recent event:-

"Hello Margaret how are you, I am well and you Scott, I am fine thank you"..... some conversation takes place.................and then,.................. " we love our kitchen, but I have one niggle, I just can not get on with the tap, I don't like the controls, but I suppose I will have to live with my choice."

"Can you call into the showroom on Saturday?" "yes I think so,why?"

"Just call in and pick some different taps and we will change them for you"

Me, I say "well done Scott" that was fantastic, first class service without even a blink.

Both Scott and I make every conceivable effort to ensure that everything we supply and install at neall alexanders is absolutely top quality, it makes no difference whatsoever, whether you have spent £6000 or £60000 we are as attentive to each individual.

So Quality is Neall Alexanders if it isn't we don't do it.
